Set the facility
Enter the building envelope, optional site boundary, column grid and required clearances.
Choose Factory Layout / Manufacturing, Warehouse & Distribution, Healthcare or Construction Site Logistics. Add planning units, relationships, movement and fixed constraints; then optimize, compare and export the selected concept.
Each step builds on the same project model. You can move backward, edit an assumption and immediately see the result change.
Enter the building envelope, optional site boundary, column grid and required clearances.
Drag activity types onto the Block Layout and enter their required dimensions.
Place fixed equipment, routes, doors, cranes, utilities and material-handling objects.
Assign AEIOUX closeness ratings and flow/day values to every meaningful activity pair.
Use the REL Diagram, REL Chart, Material Flow and From-To Matrix to validate inputs.
Lock what cannot move, review open checks and improve the current working layout.
Save a Baseline and alternatives, then open, edit and compare the strongest options.
Download DXF, SVG, CSV, JSON or a complete PDF report directly to your device for engineering review.
Select a stage to see what users enter, what the platform calculates and what should be checked before moving forward.
Start with real dimensions. The building is the operational envelope; the optional site boundary represents roads, parking, truck courts and outdoor storage.
Add planning units and assets from the field-aware palettes, confirm their dimensions and position them before defining relationships. The selected project field changes terminology and sample labels without changing the underlying planning method.
Use AEIOUX ratings for required proximity and flow/day for movement quantity. Keep these separate: two activities can be close for safety, communication or shared services even when material flow is low.
The REL Diagram reveals affinity clusters. The REL Chart preserves the complete pair-by-pair record. Material Flow and From-To Matrix reveal sequence and movement quantity.
Lock fixed SPUs and assets, resolve or accept legitimate checks, then click Optimize. The optimizer rearranges only the objects it is permitted to move.
Save the reference state as Baseline. Create scenarios from the Baseline or from a previous scenario. Comparison always reports each selected alternative against the saved Baseline.
Review material travel, average flow distance, AEIOUX satisfaction, utilization, open checks and overall layout quality before selecting the preferred scenario.
Use JSON to preserve the editable project on your own device. Export the Current Layout, Baseline or any scenario individually, or generate the complete decision report.
The animation below moves through project setup, REL data, material flow, optimization and scenario results. Use the controls to pause or jump to any stage.
These habits reduce overlap, improve optimization quality and make the final report easier to explain.
Add an SPU, enter its realistic dimensions and position it before dropping the next. Avoid piling many default objects in one corner.
Use flow/day for movement quantity and AEIOUX for required proximity. Do not force every strong relationship to carry material flow.
Lock structural, utility or operationally fixed objects. Too many locks can prevent the optimizer from finding a meaningful alternative.
Resolve legitimate clashes or accept unavoidable conditions with a documented reason before saving the scenario.
Save scenarios after meaningful edits and optimization. This prevents duplicate alternatives and produces useful comparison metrics.
Download the JSON project file with the final report and keep your own backup. It keeps scenarios, geometry, relationships, flows, locks and accepted checks together without uploading the project to KUSTOM KO.
The sample includes ten SPUs, five assets, defined relationships and material-flow data so you can explore the full workflow immediately.
